The New River Foundation and the New RIVERKEEPER
invites you to PARTICIPATE IN NATIONAL RIVER CLEAN UP WEEK:

Saturday, JUNE 23
When: 9:00 am
Where: Marina Cafe
110 S Marine Blvd Jacksonville

One of the New River Foundation (NRF) goals is keeping the New River a flowing river for fish and humans. NRF volunteers, members, and the New RIVERKEEPER along with Stewards of the White Oak River and Boy Scout Troops work in fringe areas to remove blockages that harm the ecology of the river. This CLEAN UP will include paddling the New River and removing trash that is impeding the waters. Our season began several months ago on the Cowhorn Paddle Trail, preparing for a busy tourist season in Onslow County on the New River. We invite you to join us for a fun filled Saturday on the New River June 23!

Thanks to Marina Café/ Bob Beck for providing storage for the New River Foundation watercraft just a few feet from a New River launch site. Please thank Bob and Al for their generosity and support of the New River Foundation/New RIVERKEEPER.

New River Foundation will provide canoes, paddling gear, life jackets (if you don’t own one), bottled water and lunch. Please be prepared to get wet and dirty and bring any additional gear as you see fit...

(SAT hours available for students.)

Jim Simpson is coordinating the clean up. Please feel free to email him if you have additional questions.
